Advertiser Guide

iKofi gives advertisers a business profile with event listings, gallery, and social links. Some accounts are gifted for free.

Getting an Account

Advertiser accounts are created by iKofi admin. Contact us at issues@ikofi.co.za to request an account.

Gifted Accounts

iKofi occasionally offers gifted advertiser accounts — free for a limited time. If you receive a gifted account:

Your account is active immediately
You get full access to all features
The gift has an expiry date (shown in your dashboard)
Before expiry, you'll be prompted to set up payment to continue

Your Business Page

Your public page is live at:

ikofi.co.za/ad/yourhandle

What's on Your Page

Business name — Your company or brand name
Handle — Your unique handle
Category — Food & Beverage, Arts & Culture, Sports & Recreation, etc.
Location — Physical address or area
Contact — Phone, email, website
Opening hours — When you're open
About — Tell people about your business (up to 1,200 characters)
Social links — Up to 5 links
Gallery — Up to 5 images
Events — Upcoming events and promotions

Profile Fields

Handle	3–30 chars	Letters, numbers, underscores. Becomes your page URL.

Events & Promotions

Create events to let people know where you'll be.

Adding Events

From your dashboard:

Go to Events
Click Add Event
Fill in:

- Title — Event name - Date & time — When it starts - Venue — Where it is - Description — What's happening

Events appear on your public page for the next 6 months.

Gallery

Show off your business with up to 5 images.

Tips

Use high-quality images (min 800×600px)
Show your products, space, or team
Add captions to explain what's shown

Homepage Slider

Your business can appear on the iKofi homepage in the community slider. This is managed by iKofi admin.

Indexed by Google and other search engines
Listed in the advertiser directory
Searchable by name, category, and location

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get an account?

Contact issues@ikofi.co.za to request an advertiser account.

What if my gifted account expires?

You'll be prompted to set up payment before expiry. If you don't, your account may be suspended.

Can I change my handle?

Yes. Go to your profile settings and update your handle. Your old URL will stop working.

How do I add events?

From your dashboard, go to Events and click Add Event.
